Where Did It Take Place?

  • It happened in Cairo, Egypt which is in Africa.

When Did The Event Happen?

  • It happened on Monday.

  • The month it happened in was February.

  • Last, it happened in the year 2012.

What Happened?

  • On Monday, February 6, 2012 the vilonent clashes near Egypt's Interior Ministry found over one person dead and over 80 people injured. One of the men who died was killed by a gunshot wound. Also a parliamentary committee visited the site to gather information and file a report on Monday's clashes. Next protesters are angry with police for how they handeled all of the deadly riots that have happened so far. Last, they are also mad at how the military because they won't give them what they want and that is to have a good democracy.

Why Did It Happen?/ How Did It Happen?

  • These riots have been happing for many different reasons. One reason is that the Military has killed over 80 people between the soccer statidum and the clashes on the streets of Cairo. Also they have been having massacres since January, and Egyptains are continuously being killed. Another reason they have been protesting is because, they finally got rid of what you could call there president and they were ready to make a new democracy (one like ours) but there are military soldiers that technically took over and wont let them.

My Opinion:

  • My personal opinion on this is that since all the people from Cairo, Egypt want to have a good democracy that they should get it because they got the person who ruled Cairo, Egypt out and now the military should just step aside and give the people what they want. Last, since there has been lots of riots i think that the police should find another way to stop the wild people in a calm way in stead of them just shooting a bunch of people.
