What Happened-
Authorities identified Karibu Sokoto, an alleged member of the radical sect known as Boko Haram, as the prime suspect for the December 25th bombed attack on a church. St Theresa's Catholic Church in Madalla, a city just outside Nigeria's capital, Abuja, was bombed. The attack killed
at least 44 people, church officals say, as a car bomb detonated just as worshppers left an early morning Christmas mass. The alleged mastermind of a radical lslamist sect's Christmas Day bombing fled across Nigeria after escaping police custody and hid for a month before finally being apprehended Friday. They arrested Sokoto after his escaped in January by the millatary and secret police and they found him hiding behind a rack of drying laundry. This year Boko Haram is blamed for killing at least 271 people.

Why It Happened-
It happend because Sokoto is a radical islamist. This means he wants to terrorize and intimidate other people who are not islamist. A radical islamist is someonewho wants everyone to convert to islam or die.

How Did It Happen- A day after his arrest, a local police comissioner ordered Sokoto to be transferred to another police station in Abaji a town outside the capital.Offcers guarding Sokoto was attacked by suspect sect members and that he escaped.

My Personal Opinion-
I don't think that it was right that he killed people by bombing the church just because he is a different religion. I think he should respect other people's religion.
